Transformative Creativity Studios

Indianapolis, IN | Coming Summer 2026

Transformative Creativity Studios is a creative workshop space in Indianapolis where the framework I write about on Substack and in my book comes to life in real time, with real people, using real materials. It's also my working studio, the place where I write, paint and develop everything else you see on this site. Workshops fund the space. The rest of the time, it's where the work gets made.

This is not a place where I stand at the front of a room and hand you answers. I don't have your answers. What I have is a framework, some paint, a few good questions and a room full of people who are all trying to figure out the same thing you are. You'll leave with something you made, something you noticed about yourself and probably a few ideas you didn't expect.

The vibe is more dinner party than classroom. I'm hosting a conversation I'd be having anyway and you're welcome to pull up a chair.

The studio is opening summer 2026 and I'm building the schedule now. If you want to know when classes start, get early access to workshops or just stay in the loop, click the buttom below. This list is specifically for studio events and classes. It's separate from my Substack newsletter, so you won't get emails about anything other than what’s going on in the studio.

What Happens Here…

Find Your Medium

A rotating workshop series built around a different creative medium each session: ceramics, printmaking, collage, fiber arts, mixed-media painting, whatever feels right. Sometimes I bring in a local maker to lead the hands-on component. Sometimes I'm the maker. Either way, I facilitate the creative development layer, the part where making something becomes a way of learning something about yourself. You don't need experience. You don't even need to like the word "art." You just need to be willing to make something and see where it leads you.

Inspiration Map

My signature workshop. You'll spend a session identifying what actually lights you up and create a visual map of your personal inspiration patterns. Most people have never done this. Most people are surprised by what they find.

Life Alignment Workshops

Creative workshops applied to the stuff you already deal with every day: your living space, your routines, your wardrobe, how you feed yourself. These are for people who would never sign up for an art class but immediately get the idea that their daily life could feel more intentional.

30-Day Container

A small-group coaching program where you choose one creative experiment and commit to 30 days of it. There's structure, accountability, weekly sessions and coaching. This is where the deeper work happens.

Museum Inspiration Labs

Group sessions held at art museums, starting with Newfields. Same principles as the Inspiration Map workshops, different setting. Sometimes what you need is to get out of your usual environment and let someone else's creative work wake something up in yours.

TED Talk Tuesdays

A monthly Tuesday evening where I pick a topic connected to creative agency, transformation or whatever I can't stop thinking about, and we talk about it together. Laid back vibe, interesting conversation, food and drinks (of course).

Private Painting Sessions

One-on-one time in the studio where you paint with me. No curriculum, no pressure to produce something frameable. This is for people who are curious about painting but don't want to learn in a group setting, or for people who've been wanting to pick up a brush for years and keep talking themselves out of it. I'll help you get started, stay loose and stop overthinking it. Think of it less as a lesson and more as a guided experiment with someone who's been where you are.

Who This Is For

If your life looks fine from the outside but feels flat on the inside, and you suspect the answer isn't another book or another podcast or another productivity system, you're probably in the right place.

You don't need to be an artist. You don't need to be in crisis. You just need to be ready to stop thinking about what you want and start doing something about it.
