Abstract Florals

These are the paintings where I stop thinking entirely. No collage, no text, no layers of meaning to decode. Just color and movement and the feeling of being outside. I paint these fast, usually with a palette knife or a scraper, and I let the paint do most of the deciding. Some of them look like a garden you could walk into. Some of them look like the memory of one. They're the closest I get to meditation, which is saying something because I'm terrible at meditation.
